Turning Work Into Play!

I recently attended a 3-day conference in Orlando and decided to take the family along for a fun getaway. The boys’ Disney passes had blackout dates during the time we’d be there, so I was worried there wouldn’t be enough at the hotel to keep all my boys occupied ALL day. Silly girl…

Jeff and the boys had a blast! I enjoyed the conference, but also wished I was in the pictures Jeff would send me each day. They were splashing in the pools (yes, plural), playing yard games, riding down water slides, playing putt putt golf, hanging in the arcade, and eating some amazing food at the different restaurants on the property.

While the conference was held at the Hilton Bonnet Creek, we chose to stay across the street at the Wyndham Grand because their “family rooms” looked awesome (bunk beds!), and the price was much better than the Hilton’s larger rooms. When you have four children, a normal hotel room is difficult to squeeze into, and frowned upon by the reservation desk. 😉

We could not have been happier with our choice! The boys (and Jeff) loved that they were able to walk around the pond and enjoy the amenities at each building. They were never bored, and definitely not ready to go home!

I think another visit to the Wyndham Grand will be in our future–and this time Mommy gets to enjoy the lazy river!
